Acacia near the Hajjar Mountains

Out it the desert for an impromptu picnic on a beautiful day, the dust haze is normal most days in the Middle East. It was early spring and had rained recently, I will post some photos of the flowers we found.

Dubai Mall Aquarium

This aquarium is probably pretty big, it has sharks, fish, people, coral, everything you could want in an aquarium. Even though it is big is dwarfed by the space it lives in. Everything in Dubai is big, even tables at restaurants are big, cars are big, buildings are huge and some people are big too. It makes a pleasant change from Paris where you could seat most of a restaurant in the space of a table in Dubai.

Not so far from home, a classic metro access in the 7th arrondisment. Metro exits are frequently populated with individuals twiddling their thumbs, phones, books or whatever they have handy to kill time whilst waiting for friends to arrive.

The square in front of the Hôtel-de-Ville (Townhall) of Paris is full of life. There are a myriad of uses from greening Paris exhibitions where the whole place is covered in plants to ice-skating in winter.
